What is an eCargo bike?
It is a specially designed, small battery & pedal powered 2, 3 or 4 wheeled vehicle, made to transport loads quickly and efficiently.
What can eCargo bikes do?
They are an alternative to small vans and cars and come in lots of different shapes and sizes. We have a few different types, and special eCargo bike trailers, and always look to use the most appropriate bike for each delivery job we do.
Where can you deliver?
We deliver pretty much all across Colchester, we go out to Wivenhoe, Rowhedge and Fingringhoe in one direction, then out as far as Copford the other direction, then up as far as Great Horkesley and then down as far as Layer de la Haye, and then all the areas included within. Basically anwhere we can ride to up to around 5.5miles/8.5km.
What does it cost?
Small parcels, items, packages, delivered via our 1 - 3 day standard service cost as little as £3.50, we also offer guaranteed next day and even express same day delivery options. You can see the costs for the various options and get a quote by filling in some basic details on our 'services' page.
What are the benefits?
Our bikes are smaller than vans and very nippy, which means we don’t contribute to congestion (in fact we whizz around it) and so help make our local streets quieter and safer. It also means we can usually get around town much quicker than in a van!
Unlike cars and vans our bikes don't produce and CO2 emissions which is better for the environment and helps improve air quality in Colchester.
